Intech & Coulot join forces to help orthopedic companies

Intech announced today that it has reached an exclusive agreement to acquire Coulot Decolletage, extending the group's expertise to the processing and additive manufacturing of high-precision medical implants for the spine, limbs and trauma fields of the orthopedic market.

Founded in 1985, Coulot has earned a reputation by producing high-precision medical implants and extending its expertise to 3D printing.

This landmark transaction marks Montagu's first acquisition after its recent investment in Intech. It aims to elevate Intech's value proposition to a new level while enhancing the quality of services provided to medical device companies. The cooperation with Coulot extended the Intech Group's footprint to orthopedic implants and launched the group's additive manufacturing journey.

"We are very happy to be part of the Intech Group. It is our mission to provide first-class customer service and help patients get cared for. What's exciting is that the cooperation with Intech allows us to carry out the work we do on a larger scale. ”Bruno Coulot, General Manager of Coulot Decolletage

In recent years, Coulot Decolletage has made a series of major investments to develop the most advanced processes. Vertically integrated facilities are used to manufacture various implants ranging from titanium nails, steel plates and screws to PEEK and 3D printed cages. The newly merged group is expected to generate more than $150 million in revenue in fiscal 2021.

"Because of our shared passion for quality and customer service, we are very happy to welcome Coulot as a member of our family. This latest integration makes sense. It allows us to provide customers with a single source solution (from plant 3D printing from objects to equipment) to continuously strengthen the relationship with customers."
